Yi Cheng Hero Zen Serenity Fountain Pen
Zen is the Japanese name of Mahayana Buddhist schools, practiced originally in India as Dhyana, which then came to be known in Vietnamese as Thi?n and China as Ch'an , and subsequently traveled to Korea called Seon which was later passed on to Japan. Zen emphasizes the role of sitting meditation (zazen) in pursuing enlightenment for the benefit of others thus emphasizing compassion. Though considered simply a practice by most of its Western practitioners, Zen is in fact nothing less than a school of Buddhism and thus a religion. It was only during the last century or so that Zen began to be viewed by Westerners as a philosophy, a way of life, work, an art form, etc. Such a view is not shared by the vast majority of Zen followers in the country of its origin. Yi Cheng is proud to present the Zen fountain pen, a tradition of Zen is reflected in the serenity which the pen emits. The Black barrel forms a contrast with the pebble like ring at the cap top and barrel end, enabling the writer to form the peace associated with nature. This pen looks much like Japanese culture where pebbles are commonly used in Japanese gardens. The Zen pen measures 14.2cm in length and 1.1cm in thickness. Comes in a gold plated medium nib and a converter. This pen fits comfortably on any gentleman¡¯s shirt pocket.
