When Yi Cheng Trading first started selling pens in 2001, there is basically two types of nib existing in the Chinese Fountain Pen Market ¨C The first is the common fine to medium nib and the second, a special Chinese Calligraphy flip up nib. No Chinese Pen manufacturers ever attempt to create an italic nib. The reason is simple ¨C Chinese Character writing has no need for it and the demand for such nib in the Chinese and World market do not warrant such production.
It has been 5 years since our customers asked us for italic nib on a Chinese pen. No one do it so we at Yi Cheng Trading think we should be a pioneer in such task ¨C after all we wouldn¡¯t ourselves Oriental Pen Specialist for no reason.
Let us introduce the first series of Chinese Italic nib Fountain Pen Prototype. Having an arrow clip and a jet black resin barrel, this pen measures 13.9cm in length and 1.1cm in thickness, the stainless italic nib has a constant ink supply from a converter or cartridge. The nib is specially made under my instruction to ensure a flexible writing comfort.
This prototype is made in a few pieces and only I have access to them. I am trying to sell one of these to test demand, if order is placed I will make more. If not this pen will be extinct. So the choice is yours.
