| This is a STUNNING, very rare gents DUNHILL watch, dating from 1940, just after the Art Deco period and in lovely condition throughout. It features a SOLID 9ct GOLD case that carries hallmarks on both of the fixed lugs as well as the inside back. The dial is original and unrestored and the movement is high-quality. The watch is even better than in the photos - just gorgeous. I have added a new, quality strap and a smart PRESENTATION CASE. My price reflects the condition, rarity and investment potential of the watch and is genuinely set below current value. If you collect vintage watches you should seriously consider this lovely watch. The lovely SOLID 9ct GOLD cushion case is in EXCELLENT condition for its age - highly-polished and gleaming - with very minor wear. The case measures 28mm (2.8cms) wide, excluding the winding crown x 31mm (3.1cms) long, including the solid gold fixed lugs, which are both fully hallmarked. The case back closes firmly with the edges in very good condition, which shows that the back has always been opene with care. The inside of the back case is signed 'Stolkace GAS' (the casemakers used by Dunhill), 'British made' and carries the appropriate Chester hallmarks for solid 9ct gold, dating to 1940. The high-quality HAND-WOUND 15 Jewel movement is SWISS-MADE and in EXCELLENT, sparkling condition, as you can see from the photo. It features SOLID GOLD JEWEL SETTINGS and is signed 'Swiss made', 'Adjusted' and '15 Jewels'. It is in excellent working order for its age, winding extremely smoothly and running strongly. The ORIGINAL, unrestored DIAL is BEAUTIFUL and in lovely clean condition for its age. It is signed 'Dunhill' and features Arabic numbers. The ORIGINAL blued steel hands are in excellent, unbent condition, and the ORIGINAL GLASS LENS is extremely clear; amazing for a watch of this age. I have put this STUNNING watch on a new leather strap, which suits it perfectly. I have also added a quality PRESENTATION CASE, which will keep the watch protected when not worn. This is a very rare wristwatch by one of history's most exclusive brands, which will provide an excellent financial investment as well as a beautiful possession. In this condition, it is genuinely valued at more than my asking price but I'm happy for one of my customers to get a bargain.
